What values does fencing share with BLI’s investment strategy?
Fencing shares many values with the investment strategy of BLI - Banque de Luxembourg Investments. Accordingly, we have entered into a partnership with the Luxembourg fencing champion Flavio Giannotte.
Fencing: a strong symbol of our investment policy
“As a Luxembourg-based company, we have long wanted to sponsor an athlete who is one of our fellow countrymen and whose sporting discipline and personality reflects our values, our traditions and our convictions”, said Guy Wagner, managing director. “Flavio Giannotte is a young and talented epeeist whose enthusiasm and passion for fencing – qualities handed down to him by his grandfather, his mother, and his father, all of whom practiced this sport before him –won us over from the start.”
Fencing and investment: shared values
Shared values such as solid preparation, concentration, analysis, patience, and the importance of making the right decisions at the right time are featured in this two-minute short film.
A video to seal our partnership
BLI decided to join with Flavio Giannotte to create a short video on fencing and the common points between this athletic discipline and the manager’s investment philosophy.
“I thank BLI for trusting me and for giving me a chance to make this video”, Giannotte said. “I very much enjoyed filming the video and it was a great experience for me personally.”
